TreasureLives Seeks to Raise Awareness for Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Destigmatization during National Volunteer Week

Be A Hero! Spread The Word and Save Lives!

Encinitas, CA. National Volunteer Week is April 23-29, 2017. This is the time of year when many people strive to take time out of their busy lives to make a difference in the lives of others. TreasureLives, a suicide prevention and mental health awareness organization, is seeking assistance spreading the word about their missions of preventing suicides and destigmatizing mental illness.

This year, TreasureLives will be using all proceeds to fund their transition to non-profit status. Once this is accomplished, they will be able to receive grants for programs the organization strives to create and to produce and distribute more products promoting mental wellness.

TreasureLives teaches that it doesn’t take much to be a hero. The smallest act in your eyes can make an immense difference in the life of another. The simplest, most effective thing you can do is to spread the word via social media using TreasureLives’ hashtags: #TreasureLives, #PauseNotStop, #AwesomeHero, and #ZeroSuicides.

TreasureLives has outlined “A Dozen Ways to Donate.” These suggestions range from a simple act of sharing to hosting a fundraiser: the options include a variety of skill sets and time requirements. Visit by April 29, 2017, to make a volunteer pledge. You will be rewarded by having your name, company, photo, and/or logo on the TreasureLives Wall of Heroic Volunteers. You even have the opportunity to receive a special gift!

Melody Boulton coauthors book with son who passed away

PORTLAND, Maine (Dec. 19, 2016) – A consummate student of spirituality and a licensed, practicing psychotherapist, Melody Boulton lost her son, Devon, at 23 years old, to a rare and aggressive lung disease.

“Devon and I always had a deep connection, sustained by a unique, spiritual dimension of love,” Boulton said. “Since he left his physical body, our bond and communication continue to manifest in joyful, lighthearted, loving and amazing experiences that led to the writing of this book.”

I Am So Excited: Bigfoot Expedition

Guess What?!?!

I'm finally getting out in the woods again. This summer has been so crazy that the team hasn't had but one chance to get together. Even then, it wasn't the whole team and we had to leave early because the hubby had an emergency work call. We've been itching to get out there again.

On July 30th, the team is going to be able to get together again finally. We will be at the research area, too! We haven't been out there in so long that we are sure there will be activity.

Between now and then, as I prepare, I will be sharing photos of my gear and set up, so be sure to follow along to get a peak of what it is like. I will most likely be live tweeting/ instagraming the expedition.

Follow along on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Paranormal Author Tells Others' Story After Finding Peace When Writing Her Own

South Carolina – Several years ago, with the help of a family friend and the support of her family, Melissa George put her story out to the public. This was a story of heart break, ill-health, fear, anger, and finally triumph. She tells a story of a family's struggle and the facing of a demon who had taken possession of their home. The family suffered for years and watched the paranormal become the normal for them. After several house blessings, the family found peace and could sleep at night once again. Writing the book, Melissa found a closure that she did not think possible. After a few more books, one about the paranormal and a couple of Bigfoot books, Melissa knew what she had to do. She decided to help others tell their stories. She knew that if putting her story out for the public to read could help her in such a way, it would be the same for others.

Melissa has offered her keyboard as an outlet for those who have had terrifying encounters with the paranormal. Melissa has helped people tell their stories of Bigfoot, Black Eyed Kids, Dogman, and even of a paranormal investigator who was followed home by a dark entity. Melissa works with her client over a length of time that is conducive to their comfort level. She has a researcher that confirms the story with the others involved, and asks the tough questions. There are questions that will be uncomfortable for people to answer, but having lived it herself, she understands. She works with the clients' pace, and allows it to be a form of therapy for them. So far, the people who have allowed Melissa to tell their stories have been happy with the results of the book, as well as their mental state.

Melissa George is available for interviews, advice, and certain speaking engagements upon request. Melissa is also taking more book submissions at the moment. If you are interested in scheduling an interview, reviewing a digital copy of one of her books, or submitting your story, you can contact Cari at or call (864) 280-7145

Health Benefit and Usage of Running Belt

Similar to your running sneakers, waist belts also come in many different sizes and shapes and are suitable for different purposes. Most runners who wear belts are trying to find a convenient solution to carry water and gel packs; and perhaps a few extras comparable to their phone, a GPS unit or energy bars. If you have yet to obtain a belt, you might like to consider the myriad types and select which belt meets your running needs and goals.

Getting cotton mouth anytime is never ideal -- however, if you're running, it might even be downright dangerous. If you're running in scorching temperatures or taking long runs to places world, you'll want to bring something along to prevent that dry mouth as well as its subsequent dehydration. Among the options: a waist belt that may hold a couple refillable water bottles. The obvious benefit is always that you'll have water as it's needed, and since the belts will often have a little more room to secure your keys, plastic cards, and a snack, you should have nearly everything you should bust out for the trail for some time adventure. You can get one from, in order to save huge, you should try to use coupon codes flipbelt. It will reduce your spending by up to 50%. That is legal and by that saved money you can purchase more things needed while you run. Health is wealth and saving money on health is also recommended. There are so many coupons blogs which regularly release coupons for that.

Fill the water bottle -- or bottles -- with just as much water since you think you will need. The American Council on Exercise recommends drinking 17 to 20 ounces inside the two to three hours before training session, another 8 ounces inside 30 minutes before, after which drinking 7 to 10 ounces for each 10 to 20 minutes of exercise, so plan accordingly and produce along the proper amount for the period of your run.

Wrap the belt around your true waist, or with the belly button line, and produce any size adjustments necessary. Wearing the belt too low, for example around your hips, can hinder your running stride and potentially slip off.

Weight the belt with small lead weights, sold at sporting or fishing goods stores, to raise your calorie expenditure, or use the lake in a hydration belt for weight. These weights can be placed in a very zip pocket or sewn into the lining. The more you weigh, the greater calories you burn during any action, including running.

Bigfoot Books For Kids

Disclaimer: I was sent these books to review. All opinions are my own.

My little Guy loves bigfoot. In fact, he wants to be a "bigfoot finder" when he grows up. Naturally, when I saw that Capstone had some bigfoot books for kids, I was intrigued and had to check them out. Here are the awesome books I had a chance read with my "Littlest Squatcher."

Bigfoot and the Yeti by Mary Colson

Bigfoot and the YetiThis book explores the mysterious creatures that have been spotted in North America and Northern Asia known as the Bigfoot and The Yeti. This book explores the question of whether they exist or not. It uses the scientific method to explore the possibility.

Bigfoot and the Yeti is a great educational book for kids. Even if they are not interested in Bigfoot, they can learn from it. I like the idea of teaching the scientific method at an early age because children can use it in everyday life. Although Tbomb is only 5, we have been reading this book together and he has been using what he learns in both his quest to find bigfoot and answering other questions that he has.

Bigfoot and Adaptation by Terry Collins

Bigfoot and Adaptation
Bigfoot and Adaptation is a comic book style book to explain adaptation. The author uses Bigfoot to illustrate how adaptation works. I haven't seen it put quite this way and is a great way to teach the difference is adaptation and evolution.

This book is truly adorable. I love the way that it explains and illustrates adaptation using Bigfoot as the main character and how "he" may use adaptation to improve his life. I really like that this book is put in comic book style so that it captures and maintains kids' attention. The illustrations are adorable and add an element of entertainment to an educational series.

I Know Sasquatch by Jess Bradley

I Know SasquatchI Know Sasquatch is an adorable book that teaches the age old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover."
Sasquatch are big, creepy creatures with razor-sharp teeth, long claws, and stinky fur (Ew!). At least, thats what most people think . . . But nobody's actually ever met one -- except Jess Bradley! In this quirky, colorful picture book, Jess describes her first encounter with a Sasquatch and the real beauty inside this Bigfoot beast. (Apparently, he's a big fan of bubble gum!) You'll never judge a beast by its stinky fur again!
This book is really adorable. I love the lessons within the pages. It explores the friendship between a little girl and her bigfoot buddy. The book teaches several important life lessons, including don't judge, don't be afraid, and make friends. What an amazing book!

Easy-to-Draw Mythical Creatures by Mattia Cerato, Brenda Sexton Illustrated by Brenda Sexton, Mattia Cerato

Easy-to-Draw Mythical CreaturesEasy-to-Draw Mythical Creatures gives step by step insturctions to drawing some of the greatest mysteries on the planet. Your child can learn to draw the creatures from their favorite books, movies, and legends. Some of the creatures include unicorns, goblins, and even bigfoot. This book uses simple shapes to help your child draw their own masterpieces.

This book has not only given my son hours of entertainment, but it has been a great family activity. We have spent rainy and snowy afternoons creating creatures together. We even decided to make one together- that was an awesome afternoon, all drawing on one page together.
